Job interviews and Paris

I've been to two job interviews the last couple of days, so that's why the blog has been quiet. But now, it's not in my hands anymore. All I can do is keep my fingers crossed. While I wait for the phone to ring, I dream of Paris...

Spring in the air

Today it's spring in the air, and I'm just about to put on my jacket and go for a walk in the sun. But first I wanted to say hello to all my wonderful readers. Have a lovely day!

A love for Tolix chairs

I can't resist an interior photo with Tolix chairs in it. They instantly add an industrial charm to every space.

Empty frames

I love art, and black and white photographs, but sometimes all you need is some empty frames.

A creative headboard

I just discovered the blog Stylizimo, and my eyes were immediately drawn to this headboard. I don't know if it's the natural colored palette, or the roughness of the wood, but I like it. I've seen pallets used as coffee tables before, but never as headboards. A really creative and fun idea!

Hats in a row

Why doesn't anyone wear hats anymore? Just look at how beautiful your hallway could look if all your guests were wearing hats.

For Japan

Tomorrow it's Bloggers' Day of Silence for Japan. The aim is to raise awareness and to acknowledge the devastation going on in Japan. So to show my support, I will not post anything tomorrow. For more information about donating, and ways for you as a blogger to get involved, visit For Japan With Love.

I love the combination of white walls, design pieces and the quirky details in this home. So elegant and yet so personal.

Lisa Madigan

Today I want to show you some photos taken by the talented Lisa Madigan. I think they're amazing! And I love the way Lisa describes her collection: "I have a love of things that time has alluded, things that have been left out in the weather, worn woods, peeling paint, things that evoke a sense of pure enduring beauty, things that have a rawness to them. Then I love placing those raw elements with pieces that epitomise luxury." It sounds like poetry to me!

A beautiful picture

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's always fun to read your comments. Sometimes you don't have as much time as you want, and that's the way my life is right now. So today I will just post a beautiful picture, and hope you will find it equally beautiful. Enjoy!

Wednesday eye candy

My father has a locker just like this one, down in his basement. I think I might have to check it out. It has such a cool industrial feel, and certainly makes a room more interesting.

Old leather

I love the look and feel of an old leather chair. Every scratch has a story to tell. I wouldn't mind having these in my home. What do you think?

Andrea Brugi

I had never heard of Andrea Brugi before, but I somehow stumbled over his homepage and fell in love with his simple and natural design. Andrea Brugi is an Italian carpenter who makes unique objects and products from old pieces of timber. Each piece in his collection is unique, and all the furniture are made to order. I especially like the beautiful photos taken by Ditte Isager. They complement his designs perfectly.

A vintage feel

I love the idea of owning a piece of history. It doesn't matter if it's an antique piece or something I found at the flea market. It makes a room so much more interesting.
